I have some questions about the Concorde A.I.C.U. Air Intake Control Unit that
I purchased with certificate from British Airways at the Dovebid Concorde auction in 2004.
I was told that A.I.C.U.'s contained technologies that were protected and some of the components were removed by British Airways prior to the units being placed at auction.
Well, I recently found time to open the unit up to have a look. I have pulled out a couple of the boards to show the detail and look further inside.
Q1. Does anybody know if it is a true story about British Airways removing some of the components ?
Q2. It is also interesting that this unit was from G-BBDG a/c 202. I believe British Airways were doing some modifications to the A.I.C.U. in the last couple of years of service. Maybe this unit was used during the development of these modifications ?
Any advice would be appreciated.
