It's been a long time since we see new Concordes on GE Due to last massive imagery update here are the changes : - Manchester and Filton Concordes are now viewable !!! - Toulouse's Concorde F-BVFC imagery is now accurate (recent images) and F-WTSB image has been updated. - Brooklands Museum image quality has been unified but the tent which used to protect G-BBDG during the first stages of her restoration has disapeared (old but accurate imagery) The screenshots : Manchester : Filton : Toulouse : Brooklands Museum :

Posts: 1331 (18/06/07 16:56) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	It's summer of 2003 or maybe earlier when VC10 and Vanguard were still over on the airfield, Viscount by the Wellington hangar, pressure test VC10 hull by the balloon hall and parking was on the current aircraft stand area, behind the Varsity and Hunter. My boys' first visit to Brooklands was about then. Must look up my old video to date it accurately. If you ask me it is a swizz if they are charging good money for prints of an 'up-to-date' aerial view which is actually more out of date than its predecessor! BTW Windsor images have been updated to circa 2005.

The picture shows the destroyer that was there pre-Concorde. Guess they haven't updated the New York area. Updates seem somewhat patchwork. The stadium here in Washington has been updated, but the highway junction near my house, which has been under construction since 1999, still looks as it did in 2002. At least G-CONC is still at LHR in the Google Earth world!

So there is 6 Concordes displayed in GE : - Filton (also OK in Yahoo but bad resolution) - Manchester - Heathrow near runway 23 (2 elsewhere on MS VE and 3 on Ask.com and Yahoo) - Muse Delta (also in MS VE, Yahoo ans Ask) - 2 Concordes in Toulouse (also in MS VE but only 1 in Yahoo and Ask) Plus the models Maroduram, in Heathrow, in the Flugausstellung Museum and the remains of FD in Dugny Are not viewable yet : - G-BOAD in New-York (OK but on the Intrepid in MS VE, Ask.com and Yahoo) - G-BOAG in Seattle (Ok in MS VE, Ok but bad resolution in Yahoo and Ask.com) - F-BVFF in Roissy (Ok but bad resolution in Yahoo) - F-BVFB in Sinsheim - G-BBDG in Brooklands (OK in MS VE "Bird's Eye View") The ones preserved inside are, of course, not viewable (Edited for precisions)

No Tu-144 at Sinsheim, either. But at least it's quite easy to spot the museum to check for it in the future! There ARE at least two Tu-144s visible in Russia in Google Earth. The Tu-144SST site has the information on finding them (I have a placemark on my other PC at home, but that doesn't help me now!).

At least AD is still visable on some of the free mappers The ask maps has an interesting shot with a couple of barges(?) moored next to AD. Sure google won't let MS stay ahead of them for long in the currant climate of competition between them. "Seek and you shall find"

I dont use Fire Fox as my machines dont like it causes to many config Problems with stuff i am operating! If my FLASH gets any more upto date it will be a the one that hasnt been released yet! Flashearth works just your link dosent!

But the little airport (grass strip) is sweet! Kids adore it, I promise
