If at all possible, the next time you make a video could you ask if they can make the plane produce the famous 'ding' sound a few times?

No the Master Warning isn't in the video.
Good footage showing the usage of the ground hydraulic checkout and servo controls. What selection is that, Yellow-Yellow? |

AndrewW,
You asked: "Good footage showing the usage of the ground hydraulic checkout and servo controls. What selection is that, Yellow-Yellow?" No. The servo controls and relay jack selectors are set to "blue only", then the green ground hydraulic pump is turned on. So the nose is run off the green system, without any of the flying controls getting activated. CJ |

YAY So alll Systems are working Including Radios.
Fantastic Video Merci. Does the HF Hi Frequency USB / LSB Still Work? That Means for those wondering What I just asked. The USB / LSB is not the Same as the USB Ports on your PC or Mac it is the Hi Frequency Long Range Radio System for use over the Worlds Oceans and Deserts, USB Stands for Upper Side Band and LSB for Lower Side Band which have a range of Thousands of Miles in daylight and Global Range at Night. It is also tied into the SELCAL Equipment which allows a Base Station or Enroute Control centre to contact the Aircraft remotely with out using a Voice transmission. by Sending a Set of Tones to the Aircraft. |

On the Radio Panels you will Se
AM USB/LSB and on DG there is another setting that I cant remember at this time what it Says or is for. The Selcal Codes on the Brooklands Sim are on the Uper Left hand Sideo of the Instrument panel it has the Aircraft Registration and Four Letter Code with a Dash in Between the two Groups of Letters.

Centrino,
HF can be interesting to listen to, especially since you can hear aircraft far away. In the Air France aircraft, the HF radio control units are on the rear pedestal (pylone arrière) just below the INS3 control unit, and marked HF1 and HF2. There are the frequency controls, an OFF/AM/SSB switch, and a squelch knob (noise limiter). One then selects HF1 or HF2 on the audio selector unit on the forward pedestal (just forward of the trim wheels on the pilot's side and forward of the brake controls on the copilot's side. The transmitters and receivers are in the back of the aircraft, close to the aerials, which are in form of two deep 'cuts' in the forward part of the fin (find a photo of 002 - G-BSST, where you can see them, they are painted over on all the other aircraft). |

Salut Centrino,
I had the mail, but it had a generic 'YouSendIt' return address so I couldn't answer it. What's on 5649 kHz? CJ |
