Yesterday (Feb 21st) we were able to visit the museum on our way back to CDG. We didn't really have long enough to see everything there but did spend a good long time with The Pointy Sisters! Our timing couln't have been better- while we were waiting in line to board F-WTSS we heard a generator start up outside followed by SD's strobe lights flashing, she looked alive and ready to go but the best was yet to come- after a few minutes we heard a noise and turned to see SD's nose lowering, it stayed downs for a few moments before being fully raised again. When we went on board SD all the cockpit lights were lit and there was someone in the captains seat switching stuff on and off. Ground power was disconected shortly before we left. One thing that bugs me about the museum... it's really hard to find out how to get there other than seaching on the 'net before we left. There were no leaflets anywhere, the hotel staff couldn't tell us and the chap at Le Bourget station who told us how to get there looked amazed at the thought of people actually wanting to go there! Seems to be a well kept secret but well worth a visit. Having trouble with Photobucket at the moment but I'll post some pics when I can.
