Top coat applied to the belly panels. these have come up fantastically, and may look as it they have been sprayed. A few need a little bit of wet and dry but a good percentage look to not need a 2nd coat.

The pic does not do them justice on how good the finish is

Do we have the paint colour references for everything that is not white?

Just asking the question, because the team working on DGs French brother (SA) had to do a fair amount of research to match the original colours. The Brookland"s office have stated that all volunteer"s will have to use the Height"s carpark Although if you get there early enough you mite sneak around the back of the tent!

The Vickers Vimy tonight landed at Dunsfold, the Vimy replica flew at brooklands in the mid 90s, and most recently flew the Atlantic to Ireland piloted by Steve Fosset.

it is hoped will take part in a few of the airshows over the summer season, today it did a fly past at Silverstone post race but before the Choppers were allowed out.

The people trying to get in to the museum as in staff and volunteers in the morning had traffic all along the Entramce.

2 small things need to be done :

Section of cheat line needs sanded a little more to get some grime off

2 sections of the upper roof and the rear of the fuselage need to final application of Alocrome.

Once these are done we can get stuck in the the solvent cleaner then get the primer on.

If we need, part of the painting can be left 2 days and done Sat AM by 2 people.

What I hope we can do it rub down the forward fuselage so its ready for top coat. Its in pretty good condition (the worst are have already been rubbed down) so it will only be giving it a keyed surface. the roof needs a little work.

WAIT!!! I am not opening that can of worms again!

Just wondered after looking at my newly aquired Brookland Concorde CD (very nice I might add), is she being put back together properly so she could fly again if circumstances were different. All the nuts and bolts going back were they belong.
